A huge thank you to BE Mighty, and the CALS Children's Library for partnering with Sherwood Elementary third graders for a lesson on Farm to Pizza. The students learned about vegetables grown in our local community and read the book, The Vegetables We Eat by Gail Gibbons.They were also taught the difference between fruits and vegetables from a horticultural perspective. They also learned what parts of the plant we eat. The lesson culminated in making pizzas!!!
