Check out this artwork from this SHERWOOD ELEMENTARY 1st grader! Karter made Sonic the Hedgehog from felt, tissue roll cardboard, plastic egg. He even thought of adding pipe cleaner so the arms and legs to bend. So creative!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
This school year is wrapping up and our hope is that each student has found some success in the online learning model. It has been a challenge for everyone involved.
In order to accommodate the workload and give each student the opportunity to complete all mandatory assignments, starting on Monday, May 11, 2020, enrichment activities will be given. There are many ways to engage learning and we want the students to continue participating and hopefully enjoy these last few weeks of school.
Notification will be sent regarding chromebooks and iPads. Library books and personal items at school will also be addressed in a timeline to be presented by the district and Ms. Brazil.

Some elementary teacher librarians in PCSSD participated in the "pass the book" challenge. The goal of this challenge is to support reading and get readers engaged. What is your favorite book you've read during quarantine? http://ow.ly/QBKH50zyAU2 #pcssdproud #equityandexcellence

Good Evening all returning PCSSD students if you have not already registered for the 20-21 school year. Please check your email for login information. If you have not received an email, please email Debbie Papp at dpapp@pcssd.org and she will get your information sent to you. It is very important to get this done so that we have your contact information and emergency contact information updated for the safety of your child.
Thank you and please stay safe.

Next week is Teacher Appreciation week, but we will not be in school. Do you have a teacher at Sherwood Elementary that you would like to give a shout out to? This could be done by snapping a picture with your message, making a video, or making a card. We would love to hear from all of our students showing their appreciation for our Sherwood teachers. Please email your cards, videos, and posters to jbrazil@pcssd.org

Arkansas Activities Association extended the "COVID-19 Dead Period" for all AAA member schools through May 30, 2020. This means that all teams are not allowed to practice, lift weights together, play games, or travel to competition. Athletic facilities are also closed. Spring sports competition remains suspended.
