The 3rd and 4th grade TREK students at Baker Elementary took a fun trip back in time to research and present on different decades! The 3rd graders crafted awesome tri-fold boards filled with everything from cool inventions and major events to slang and even hairstyles from the past. Meanwhile, the 4th graders went all out by creating time capsules from various decades, with some even teaching parents the latest dance moves from their era! Parents had a blast reminiscing and were totally blown away by the students’ impressive speaking skills. Time travel has never been so much fun!

It's that time of year in which Ms. Ploszay, the Gifted and Talented Facilitator, will begin taking referrals for testing into the Gifted program. If any families would like their current 2nd, 3rd, or 4th grade child tested, please email jploszay6104@pcssd.org or call the school office, to request a form. All referral forms will be due by Tuesday, February 11, for students to be tested this school year. Note: Testing does not ensure placement into the TREK GT program.
