Last Friday (9/30), 4th grade students from Cato, Oakbrooke, Sherwood, Sylvan Hills and William Jefferson Clinton elementary visited Sylvan Hills High for a special STEMusic concert. Mr. Roy Moye III, founder of STEMusic, visited with the students to talk about the importance and impact of STEM in our everyday lives. He sang a song for each part of STEM. Ask your 4th graders if they remember any of the songs!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE's Makenzie Marbray says, "Whenever you see bullying, whether it be physically or mentally, you must stop it. If someone's behavior goes without being checked, it just gets worse."

Sherwood kindergarten and 1st grade students celebrated peace week in the library by reading The Peace book by Todd Parr , sharing ideas of peace, and drawing a picture of what brings them peace. Some of the ideas our students shared included swimming, hanging out at the beach, playing video games, and spending time with family.
